ACCOUNTING / INTERACTIVE ENVIRONMENT
The balance is zero.
Is the work right?
Reconcile a fictional cash account. Match the evidence, explain the exceptions, then replay every decision and inspect its grade.
Two receipts have the same amount. Watch a balanced close earn an incomplete grade.

01 / INSPECT + DECIDE
Follow the reference.
Select one row from each source to propose a match. Select a single row to classify an exception. Selecting rows attaches their source coordinates as evidence.

Matching rules and accounting signs
- Exact match: one ledger and one bank row, equal signed amounts, equal posted dates, and identical case-sensitive references after trimming ASCII whitespace. Equal amounts alone are insufficient.
- Bank fee: a negative bank row with code FEE and no ledger counterpart. Add its signed amount to ledger closing.
- Outstanding payment: a negative ledger row that is issued and explicitly uncleared, with no bank counterpart. Add its signed amount to bank closing.
- Complete close: use every source row once, cite evidence, make correct decisions, and choose reconciled. A zero difference is insufficient.
This demo supports exact matches and these two exceptions. Timing matches, splits, duplicate postings and ambiguous-case escalation are outside this case.
02 / DECISION REPLAY
Every choice leaves a trail.
Scrub through the attempt to see the sources and balances at each step. Retractions stay in the history. Return to the latest step to continue editing.

03 / INDEPENDENT GRADING
A score you can inspect.
Why each decision passed or missed
Inspect all eight accounting checks
Weights: membership 45% · classification 25% · totals 20% · evidence 10%. Integrity failures earn zero. Wrong close status is capped below full credit. This public case measures your submitted decisions, not model performance or training gains.
